4 Restaurant Tips to Engage Guests on Valentine’s Day

4 Restaurant Tips to Engage Guests on Valentine’s Day

Let’s face it, Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest times of the year for the food industry. Not interested in the festivities? Well, this is one of those times that it’s better to be in than out.

So, if you haven’t decided on what to do for your guests on Valentine’s Day, don’t worry, its not too late. Here are 4 tips on how to engage your guests for Valentine’s Day:

  1. Pick a theme for that day. It doesn’t have to be a whole decked out theme with hearts and cupids. Think outside the box like a cruise theme or even a Hawaiian theme. Just something to give a feel of vacation and romance.
  2. Make it fun for families. There are many cases where parents of small children aren’t able to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Thinking of eating at restaurant with the kids seems impossible or just too damn hard (believe me, I’ve been there). Make your Valentine’s Day is fun for the kids too so the parents can have a great time as family. You can include activities, games, and yummy treats to win.
  3. Everyone likes to be remembered on Valentine’s Day. Give guests a rose at the door or even a cute little card with heart shaped chocolate to go with their receipt after dining. Make it special. Growing a seed now will go a long way for the next Valentine’s day.
  4. Make sure to announce all of this on your website and social media. This will get folks excited and help them plan to make an appearance.

I hope these tips help your food business on this Valentine’s Day and the next.

5 ways to promote your restaurant or food service online

5 ways to promote your restaurant or food service online

Let’s talk about a few ways you can promote your restaurant online.

Google My Business

If you ask anyone to search for something online, the first place they usually go is Google. It therefore makes sense to create a Google listing with updated information about your business, photos, reviews etc. This is a great way to show the world what your food service can offer.

Yelp

Even though there are some restaurant owners that completely despise Yelp, it is still a platform to consider. Restaurants directly benefit from a Yelp profile because customers still use yelp as a go-to platform to find a place to eat. I am an example of this because I did just that this past weekend in Lake Tahoe. I didn’t know the area so what did I do? Yep, I checked Yelp!

Your Website

Having a website that you can call your own is very important. A website can give customers a sense of who you are as a restaurant or food service. It can also serve as a place to show off your food and provide customers a sample of your menu. To top it off, a website can help retain existing customers by collecting emails to send out promotions and event announcements to entice them to come back. Giving a sense of who you are and interacting with your customers goes a long way.

Social Media

On social media? Hope you are. Social media helps give you another gateway to grab attention from your customers. There are many social media platforms and you do not need to use all of them.  Find the one that works for you and be consistent with it. In addition, link your social media handles to your website to entice your followers some more.

Offer Delivery

Attract more customers by signing up with delivery platforms like GrubHub, Yelp (eat24), seamless etc. These platforms can help you get a bit more exposure because these platforms get a lot of traffic, making it a great way for new customers to find you.

Make an effort to implement some of these marketing to tips to help achieve results. Got questions? Ask away

3 Reasons Why Copywritten Content is Necessary

3 Reasons Why Copywritten Content is Necessary

One of the items you need for a website is content, and quite frankly your website content should be ready to go before the project begins. Content is basically the information that goes into a website. It can be self-written or most preferably done by a copywriter. Per Wikipedia, a copywriter is someone who is skilled in writing text for the purpose of advertising or other forms of marketing.

Today, I would like to talk about a few reasons why hiring a copywriter is important for the success of your business.

Great for online search

When your website content is copywritten by a professional, they make sure to use relevant keywords in your industry, that people are using to search for your type of service. This search-friendly content is great for your business because it helps you rank better on search engines like Google and it makes reputable as an expert in your business.

Easy readability

A copywriter has the skill to make sure your services are easily understood by the reader. A copywriter is also able to take into consideration the flow of your content. This makes it easier for your customers to connect with you and in turn, persuade your ideal customer to buy from you.

Professionalism

Let’s face it. There is a huge difference between the copy you or I would write and the copy that a professional copywriter would write. There is always a professionalism to the copy that we would prefer on our website to seem more credible.

Due to these reasons, we always have a copywriting specialist on board to assist you with your copywriting needs. In a consultation call, they will make sure they learn about your service and your needs so they can come up with professional, searchable and relatable content for your website.

Be sure to ask about our copywriting services when you are ready for a website!
